"Red Hot Summer Nights" June 26, 2009
These pictures are from the "Red Hook Hot Summer Nights" on Friday, June 26th. The weather was still uncooperative, so we started out with family fun with Frogs, Bugs and Animals for the kids in the Red Hook Village Hall. The show ended with the chicken dance and you can see we had some very willing and talented participants!
Once the dancing (mercifully) ended, so did the rain...hmmm...and we were able to continue with our festivities outside in a beautiful evening. The jazz band, The Ritholz-Napoli Quintet, played while adults and children sat, stood, walked, danced, jumped & splashed in puddles and basked in an incredible sense of community. This IS the start of something big.
Next "Red Hook Hot Summer Nights" Friday, July 24th - now we're on track for good weather and big fun!
